We have worked with Tracy and Hamlin Daniels since 2011 when we appointed them to redesign our prospectus. Tracy and her team were excellent and delivered a product that was totally unique in schools literature. We have since worked with Hamlin Daniels on advertising, branding, signage and our Appeal Campaign. Tracy is extremely professional: she listens and then delivers - always to time and on budget. I have no hesitation in recommending Hamlin Daniels to you.
A school of thought.
After contacting the Headmaster and Marketing Manager on an annual basis over a period of three years, they finally gave in and allowed us to re-design their prospectus! Founded in 1628, Heriot’s is one of Scotland’s oldest Charities, it is housed in a unique building and steeped in history (Royal). Heriot’s culture provides an environment that gives children a richness of opportunities to learn and develop, a sense of responsibility towards each other and constant encouragement to work hard and do their best. Our job was to express all these qualitities in a prospectus. We wanted to break down barriers such as ‘Heriot’s is an academic hot house’ and ‘the School building is austere and unfriendly’. In fact, you’ll find the complete opposite at Heriot’s – it is a fun environment with a great emphasis on mutual respect and friendship.
So, we set about designing a prospectus that was as individual as Heriot’s . It is A5 to start with, not your usual format, which means it fits neatly into your handbag (or man bag!). It is housed in a GF Smith Colorplan slipcase (posh paper!) with a white foil blocked crest paying homage to tradition and history. The prospectus itself is in complete contrast using fun photography of pupils on the cover and a relaxed style of photography throughout (Shot by talented Photographer, Paul Dodds). Copy is light and a vibrant colour palette breaks up content. We housed all ‘the detail’ in a separate information booklet that sits alongside the prospectus in the slipcase.
